还记得去年给习主席写信的非洲姑娘汉娜·格塔丘吗?今年汉娜再一次来到长沙，在这里给千里之外的妈妈写信分享她的星城之旅。2019长沙媒体艺术节暨“一带一路”青年创意与遗产论坛将于3月31日开幕，汉娜向各国青年发出邀约：“来亲自感受这座城市的活力和魅力吧，我在长沙等你!”

dear Mom, I am in Changsha again
亲爱的妈妈 我又来到了长沙
it is the capital city of Hunan province in central China
它是中国中部湖南省的省会城市
last year, when I came here
去年 我受邀来这里
for the International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Roads
参加“一带一路”青年创意与遗产论坛
I was captivated by this city
便与这座城市结下了不解之缘
Changsha is an old city
长沙是一座古老的城市
with a long history and rich culture
历史悠久 文化底蕴深厚
for example, it has exquisite porcelains in the museum
你可以在博物馆看到精美的瓷器
and outdoor theaters with opera performances showing local stories
也可以在露天戏台观看湖南花鼓戏
Changsha is also a modern city
长沙也是一座充满现代感的城市
it has a busy train hub
有繁忙的高铁枢纽
this time, my friends and I travelled to Changsha on one of these trains
这次 我和朋友是坐高铁来到长沙的
the trains are very comfortable
车厢特别舒适
Mom, you can buy a last-minute plane ticket to Changsha
妈妈 来长沙非常方便
because its airport processes 72-hour visa-free stays
长沙机场是一座72小时过境免签机场

I have tried many local foods

some of the famous dishes are stinky tofu and crayfish

these dishes are very different from our food

age-old fireworks make a splash in Changsha
千年传承的烟花技艺让长沙大放异彩
last year, I watched a spectacular firework show by Orange Island
去年 我在橘子洲畔观赏到精彩绝伦的烟花表演
where the fireworks lit up the sky
烟花在空中绽放的一刹那
I marveled at the people of Changsha who liven up the world with their creativity
我不由得惊叹 长沙人用古老的创意点亮了世界
Changsha is also a welcoming city
这是一座有温度的城市
local people are enthusiastic and hospitable
当地人热情好客
there are so many young people here
这里还有许多像我一样的青年人
they study, work, and start businesses
他们在这里学习 工作 创业
just like me, they fall deeply in love with the city
他们和我一样 深深地爱上了这座城市
while enjoying the comfort of city life
他们一边享受城市生活的舒适
they also use their creativity to add color and charm
一边挥洒自己的创意 为这座城市添彩
Mom, Changsha is a city filled with possibilities
妈妈 长沙更是一座充满无限可能的城市
no one knows what will happen next
谁都不知道接下来会发生什么
last year, I wrote a letter to President Xi when I attended the forum
就像去年参加“一带一路”青年创意与遗产论坛时 我给习主席写了一封信
never in my wildest dreams did I think he would respond
完全没有想到他会回信
soon the youth forum will be held in Changsha again
