I. Activity Information
The 2026 “Belt and Road” Generation Z “Film Heritage · Share Stories” Activity, under the theme “Youth Voices Bridging Civilizations”, responds to the Global Civilization Initiative and the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations. It sincerely invites Generation Z youth from Belt and Road countries and regions to tell stories of cultural heritage preservation and mutual learning through vivid forms such as short videos, photos, and text, thereby strengthening international people-to-people cooperation.

II. Track Settings
The activity sets up tracks for original short videos, photos/text, and AI (short videos, photos/text). Generation Z participants are encouraged to present content including but not limited to world cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage, time-honored brands, cultural tourism, food culture, and stories of friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries. Using a Generation Z perspective, they should innovatively express the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and the Global Civilization Initiative, promoting mutual learning between Chinese civilization and other world civilizations.

IV. Target Participants
This activity warmly invites film and television/media colleges (departments), pan-Generation Z creators (born between 1990 and 2009) from Belt and Road countries and regions, broadcasting and online audiovisual production/broadcasting institutions, influential bloggers, and new media companies to actively participate. Through diverse short films, photos, and texts, participants should demonstrate unique insights and creative expressions of world civilizations.
V. Entry Requirements
1.Entries must uphold positive values, spread positive energy, comply with Chinese laws and regulations, and adhere to the Detailed Rules for the Censorship Standards for Online Short Video Content and other relevant requirements.
2.Entries must be original works (videos, photos, texts, vlogs, animations, etc.) created by individuals or teams, with clear and undisputed copyright. AI-generated content must comply with the Measures for Identification of Artificial Intelligence-Generated Synthetic Contents, including mandatory disclosure tags.
3.Video submissions must use the activity’s unified title sequence (see the annex). They must have complete images, sound, and subtitles. The duration should generally be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. Horizontal videos must have a resolution of no less than 1920×1080 with an aspect ratio of 16:9; vertical videos must have a resolution of no less than 1080×1920 with an aspect ratio of 9:16. Accepted video formats include MP4, MOV, and AVI. The picture must be clear and clean, without corner marks or station logos.
4.Photographic entries must be in JPG format, with each image having a pixel value of no less than 5MB. Submissions may be single images or series (black-and-white or color); post-processing is allowed. A series should preferably consist of 4-8 images, accompanied by text and story descriptions not exceeding 1,000 words.
5.Multilingual submissions are strongly encouraged. Dialogue, narration, and commentary in foreign languages must include standardized bilingual subtitles in both Chinese and English.
VI. How to Participate
1.Platform Publication
Publish your entry on platforms including but not limited to Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili, WeChat Video Channel, RedNote, Weibo, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc., and add the activity's unified hashtag #拍遗产讲故事#. After publication, submit relevant entry information via email.
2.Questionnaire Registration
(Sole Registration Channel)
(1) Scan the registration QR code and fill in the official activity questionnaire online;
(2) Place the entry, application form, and declaration commitment letter in the same folder in advance, upload it to Baidu Netdisk/Google Drive, and generate a sharing link + extraction code;
(3) Fill in the questionnaire as required: netdisk link, extraction code, third-party platform publication link, etc.;
(4) Naming convention: Netdisk folder: Track + Author’s Name + Work Title; source files: consistent with the information in the questionnaire;

VII. Honors and Screenings
1.Each track and competition unit will set up honors such as “Best Creativity Award”, “Best Popularity Award”, and “Civilization Mutual Learning Award”.
2.Offline screenings: The activity will jointly organize a themed touring exhibition titled “Youth Voices Bridging Civilizations” with the Beijing College Student Film Festival, Southern China Film Week, etc.
3.Honor Selection Ceremony and Results Release: Late October to early December 2026 in Beijing.
VIII. Participation Notes
1.The activity encourages Chinese and foreign youth to participate as teams. Each team is limited to 3 members (including 3). Team works must designate one principal creator for registration; duplicate submissions are not allowed.
2.Participants must truthfully fill in all items when submitting, providing accurate personal information and contact details. The organizer has the right to disqualify any entry with incomplete or false information.
3.Participants must confirm that they hold full copyright of their works, and that the works do not infringe upon the portrait rights, copyrights, patent rights, trademark rights, or other legitimate rights of any third party. All related legal liabilities concerning reputation rights, portrait rights, copyrights, etc., shall be borne by the participant. The organizer holds the right to use the submitted works and reserves the right to perform post-production technical processing. Usage methods include public welfare promotion or provision to relevant media for broadcast.
4.An expert review committee will be organized to evaluate the submitted works, select outstanding works, announce them on relevant official media, and provide corresponding support.
5.The activity does not charge any registration fee. Once submitted, the entry is deemed to have agreed that the activity organizer owns the right to promote and use the work. The activity committee holds the final right of interpretation.
