Light show marks 1st anniv. of China and Honduras diplomatic ties establishment

  March 26, 2024 is the first anniversary of diplomatic ties establishment between China and Honduras. Changsha city, as the representative of China, put on a light show along the Xiangjiang River to commemorate this moment.


  The light show began with the scene of falling maples. The slogan "热烈庆祝中国与洪都拉斯建交一周年(Sincerely celebrating 1st anniv. of diplomatic ties establishment between China and Honduras)" and Honduras flag color lit up the Wanda Plaza’s facade at 7:30 pm. Meanwhile, the scene of brilliant fireworks show lit up the buildings’ facade surrounding the Plaza too. Residents and tourists in Changsha viewed the magnificent light show which fit the joyful atmosphere of the festival and stressed the cosmopolitan characteristics of Changsha city.


  Honduras is an important country in Central America and a new friend of China. Last March, China and Honduras formally established diplomatic relations. Over the past year, the cooperation between the two countries has deepened. San Pedro Sula is the largest industrial and commercial city and economic center of Honduras and leads the country in textile, sugar process, wine, clothing, tobacco, and other industries.

  Since the city established its first sister city relationship with Brazzaville, Congo in 1982, Changsha has cultivated similar relations and friendly cooperation partnerships with 58 cities in 36 countries worldwide.
