The city has a thousand faces, and there's always one that hides your love and passion. Starting now, the 2022 "Tell a Good Chinese Story" Creative Communication Competition Changsha station and the 6th "Uncover the Magic of Changsha, the City's Shining Brilliance" Short Video Competition are officially launched. Changsha sincerely invites every one of you to use the camera to record your story with Changsha - become a Changsha city ambassador and promote the city to the world, make your social media posts burst with praise.
The competition is divided into offline sub-station competition and online theme competition. Offline sub-station competition solicits works from relevant schools of universities and public institutions, associations, and clubs within the province; online theme competition will open up the topic of "Uncover the Magic of Changsha, the City's Shining Brilliance" on WeChat Channels and Tencent video APP, soliciting contributions from the general public. The collection time is from September 19, 2022 to November 30, 2022.
Since 2017, the 'Uncover the Magic of Changsha, the City's Shining Brilliance' short video competition has been successfully held for five editions, attracting widespread participation from various sectors of society, including well-known companies, universities within the province, MCN, and video creators. It has produced a number of excellent video works, including 'My Changsha', 'The Ideal of the Third Generation of the Yuan family: Being a Good Seed', 'Craftsmanship in Relics', 'Fireworks Star City', 'Happiness in Braided Palm', 'Not Just a Little', and 'Go! "Blue" Friends'.
After the submission of works, the organizing committee of the competition will select the first, second, and third prizes, as well as the best popularity prize, based on the popularity value of the shortlisted works and the opinions of expert judges. The competition will award 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 12 third prizes, and 20 outstanding prizes. In addition, there will be 1 popularity prize. Excellent winning works can receive a maximum of 10,000 yuan in prize money and have the opportunity to be recommended to participate in the 2022 "Tell China's Story" Creative Communication Competition hosted by the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration.
This competition is guided by the Academy Contemporary China and World Studies and the China Internet News Center, and is organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, the Cyber and Information Office of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, and the Malanshan (Changsha) Video and Cultural Creativity Industry Park. Submission methods (choose one):
Method 1: Send the work materials as a large attachment to the competition organizing committee's email (cszgcsml@foxmail.com) (email subject should indicate "submitting unit or author name-work name-contact information"), and attach the registration form and work description (in Chinese/English WORD format), and also inform the organizing committee of the Baidu network disk link and password of the work by email. If the work has also been uploaded through submission method 2, please note in the email.
Method 2 (Online registration): Submit your work through the competition's submission channel and message the required information. The submission channel is through the WeChat Channels. Participants should follow the "Uncover the Magic of Changsha, the City's Shining Brilliance" WeChat Channel. On the "Uncover the Magic of Changsha, the City's Shining Brilliance" WeChat Channel homepage, click "Activities" and then "Participate" to upload your work.
