2021 ASEAN-China Dialogue on Music Industry is held in Changsha on December 27 as one of the events of 2021 ASEAN-China Culture and Tourism Week. Themed on “Building a New Vision of Regional Music Industry”, it aims to promote China-ASEAN dialogue and cooperation in the music sector.
At the panel discussion, representatives from Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), Chinese and ASEAN label companies, and industry experts shared their views on such topics as new development of label companies in ASEAN countries in the digital age, cross-border digital music, China-ASEAN musician exchange and career development, China-ASEAN cooperation in the music industry, China-ASEAN music academic exchanges, new formats of ASEAN music industry, and music-empowered tourism destinations.
In the performing session, 2021 ASEAN-China Culture and Tourism Week’s theme song “Hear the Sea & Land Breeze” made its debut; the song is dedicated to the friendship between China and ASEAN countries. Together with other 18 ASEAN traditional songs, the theme song will be launched online too.
