A Golden Music Feast Kicks off in Changsha

In the golden September, Changsha Concert Hall will host a number of performances for music fans. The performers include some world-famous players of viola, piano and other instruments.
  
  On September 3, Changsha-born viola virtuoso Mei Diyang will perform popular classics in the Hall, including the first movement of Schubert: Sonata in A minor for Viola and Piano, Rebecca Clarke’s Sonata for Viola and Piano in E minor, Dobrinka Tabakova: Suite in Jazz Style (China premiere).
  
  September 11is 2021 Changsha Concert Hall Open Day. On this day the best stage is offered for free to the public to perform including singing, dancing, band, and instrumental solos.
  
  On the same day, Li Xin, an art advisor of Changsha Concert Hall will once again be the guest of the Public Art Lecture to explain the brilliance and vitality of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata series. As a student of Joerg Demus, a leading Austrian pianist, Li Xin has performed in Europe, Japan and China and has presented solo, and repertory works by over 150 composers to audiences. Since 2018, he has been invited to serve as the art advisor of Changsha Concert Hall to give a series of piano art lectures.
  
  On 12 September, tenor Shi Yijie and pianist Chen Sa will once again perform classical Chinese art songs together. Shi, 39, who received his vocal training in Shanghai, graduated with the top score at the Toho College of Music in Tokyo in 2006, and the college offered him a fellowship to study music in Austria in 2007. He had his first role in an opera production of Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte in 2007, and in 2008 he performed in the Rossini Opera Festival in Italy, its first Chinese singer. Chen is a native of Chongqing who learned to play piano at the age of 9 and achieved fame after winning fourth place as the youngest contestant at the Leeds International Piano Competition in England in 1996. In 1997 she enrolled in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with a full scholarship and three years later was fourth in the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. This concert is a great combination of these two young artists, which will bring the audience refreshing Chinese art songs.
