“Spark” Culture Tourism Development Plan

长沙市媒体艺术发展中心 | 07 15, 2021

On July 12, Liuyanghe Cultural Industry Park and NetEase (Hangzhou) Network Co. Ltd. signed a strategic agreement to launch the “Spark” cultural tourism development plan (“Spark” Plan), charting a new course of crossover development for fireworks. Aiming at crossover development and transformation of cultural IP, both sides plan to leverage their unique strengths to implant creative fireworks into more popular games, thus creating new consumption online and offline and a derivative value chain featuring “fireworks X game”.

The plan will initiate at NetEase’s Ghost Story, a fantasy mobile game with 90 million players. With a combination of fireworks and game scenes through props, tasks, scene restoration, etc., millions of players can appreciate the charm of Liuyang fireworks virtually.

A representative from Liuyanghe Cultural Industry Park said that the “Spark” Plan will use VR technology to connect online and offline, products and scenes, and customer base and social chain. It will drive the digital consumption of creative fireworks and new cultural tourism, promote crossover innovation and industrial iteration, and fuel Liuyang, a county-level city in central China’s Hunan Province, in building a global creative fireworks design base.

Going forward, Liuyang together with NetEase plans to build the NetEase (Liuyang) Digital Center for Culture Innovation. An intelligent business community empowered by both cultural industries and the digital economy will be fostered to build another fine example of a digital county economy.
