City of Media Arts and City of Music Establish a Friendship, Changsha Propose to Enhance Cooperation among Creative Cities in Asia
From September 18th to 19th, Changsha delegation participated in the 2018 Global Creative City Forum in city of music: Daegu, South Korea, at the invitation of the organizer. Nearly one hundred delegates from UCCN member cities, experts and scholars attended the forum. The forum aims to promote the sustainable development of Asian creative cities and enhance cross-cutting cooperation between them.

Mr. Liu Xinzhou, director of Changsha Development Center of Media Arts, gave a speech on the theme of "Cooperation and Development of Asian Creative Cities" at the forum. He introduced Changsha’s experience and practices on building the City of Media Arts. By analyzing the challenges and opportunities within UCCN, the economic and industrial foundation of cooperation between creative cities and their willingness, he made several proposals on enhancing cooperation between Changsha and other creative cities, including creating a communication platform, conducting artist residency programs, building industrial bases, and launching fireworks global tour,etc.

During the forum, Changsha delegation also had friendly communications with delegates from creative cities like Daegu in South Korea, Yamagata in Japan, Mannheim in Germany, and Pesaro in Italy.
