This year's CICIF Changsha Pavilion takes the “City of Media Arts” as its design theme. The museum's design is based on the Orange Island.

  The flat middle part and raised two ends structure of the appearance is inspired by the Ship Batu Hitam, symbolizing Changsha as the media art of the world, is setting sail off to the world

  The Changsha Pavilion will focus on displaying the characteristics and achievements of Changsha as the “City of Media Arts”.

Changsha Pavilion consists of a preface hall and four major display sections. The Preface hall directly conveys the cultural charm of Changsha through LED large screens, reception desks, and fireworks pillars, and is the starting point for the introduction of this Changsha Pavilion. The 14th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fairs (referred as “CICIF”) opens on May 10th at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. What surprises will be brought to this year's CICIF by the Hunan Pavilion and the Changsha Pavilion? Following up, reporters will reveal the secrets of the Hunan Pavilion and the Changsha Pavilion.

Hunan Pavilion: Comprehensively display the achievements and highlights of Hunan's cultural industry development

 

The 14th CICIF’s theme is “Innovation, Opening up, Fusion and Development”, which fully demonstrates the achievements of Hunan's cultural reform and development in the new era.

The Hunan Pavilion closely adheres to the theme of “Innovation, Opening up, Fusion and Development”. Hunan Pavilion is set on the background of “media integration, cross-field culture, and culture going” abstractly, and is demonstrated by Hunan cultural enterprises’ achievements on “new media integration, overseas expansion, cultural poverty alleviation, intangible heritage inheritance and Hunan’s small towns” concretely. It fully demonstrates the achievements and highlights in Hunan’s cultural industry development.

In terms of design concepts, the overall design of the Hunan Pavilion is progressive, like flowing waves, symbolizing the persistence and development of Hunan’s culture. The development of Hunan's cultural industry has a long history and is always on the move.

Hunan Pavilion fully demonstrating Hunan’s culture and new achievements in the development of creative industries by means of physical objects, pictures, videos, sounds, light and electricity both statically and dynamically, and the pavilion has both physical display cabinets and on-site interactions.

Changsha Pavilion: Four Ways to Understand the “City of Media Arts”

 

Changsha Pavilion takes the “City of Media Arts” as its design theme. The museum’s design is based on the Orange Island, and the flat middle part and raised two ends structure of the appearance is inspired by the Ship Batu Hitam, symbolizing Changsha as the media art of the world, is setting sail off to the world.

The Changsha Pavilion will focus on displaying the characteristics and achievements of Changsha as the “City of Media Arts”. Firework pillars will be set up outside the exhibition hall, interactive devices such as post boxes and telephone booths will be placed on site, demonstrating Changsha’s style and features as the “City of Media Arts”. A Ship Batu Hitam model with beautiful pottery from Tongguan Kiln will be placed in the Changsha Pavilion.

Changsha Pavilion consists of a preface hall and four major display sections. The Preface hall directly conveys the cultural charm of Changsha through LED large screens, reception desks, and fireworks pillars, and is the starting point for the introduction of this Changsha Pavilion. Among them, the four major display sections are designed on the theme of “Four Ways to Understand the ‘City of Media Arts’”, which are summarized by Changsha’s dialect respectively as Yangfan Changsha (Changsha’s Style), Lishou Changsha (Changsha’s Connoisseur), Yunwei Changsha (Changsha’s Taste) and Yingza Changsha (Changsha’s Achievement), highlighting the city’s cultural characteristics.

In addition, the Changsha Pavilion will also include “Malanshan Video Culture and Creative Industrial Park” as a key display project. At the same time, it will collect top ten handicrafts from The Golden Finger Contest over the years, and the products from excellent cultural and creative enterprises.
